Statement

"...The subjects of objectness, paint, assemblage and identity continue to be primary in my thinking. The artworks I make are part of a personal and transient landscape. I bring materials into the studio with a feeling of reverence towards the temporality of these objects, while simultaneously acknowledging the permanence of objects as symbols in the real world. These objects provide an exegetical experience that reflect issues such as capitalism, urbanomics, racism, tolerance, human rights, cultural exchange, ecology, globalization, war, postmodernism, popular culture, cinema, poetry, and religion. These moments of contemplation speak to our past, present and future..." -excerpt from A Radical Surprise. 2012
